Fergus

The Thistle Fairy

They represent Resilience

Fergus is most often found along the rougher edges of the garden, where paths become wild and the soil is less forgiving.

He is one of the fairies responsible for keeping watch over the boundaries, fending off anything that might threaten the creatures, flowers or fairies living within them. He is not easily frightened, and once he decides something is worth protecting, very little will persuade him to stand aside.

Like the thistles he tends, Fergus has learned that strength does not depend on perfect conditions. Harsh weather, poor soil and difficult seasons rarely discourage him. If anything, they seem to make him more determined.

He admires the same quality in humans: the ability to keep going, defend what matters and remain standing even when life becomes difficult.
